Biography:
Mike Gimon is in his 17th year as Varsity volleyball coach and his fourth year as Head Track Coach. Mike started coaching here at CHS in 1997 at the throws coach and then became the JV Volleyball coach in 1998. In 2000, Mike was promoted to Head Varsity volleyball coach. Mike's goal in volleyball is to teach them the game so they feel empowered when they step on the court and take that with them when they step off the court and into their lives.
Mike took a break from Track and Field in 2007and returned in 2014 as Head Coach and oversee's the throws again. A thrower's goal is to pick things up and put them down very far away.
As a coach of both teams, the focus is on scholarship, sportmanship and fellowship.

Coach Williams is the sprints coach and team motivator. He is passionate about the success of CHS athletics and athletes. He is a constant student of his craft and incredible numbers cruncher when it comes to meets.

Biography:
Kara is a former vaulter from Chesapeake and is beginning her coaching career here at CHS helping young athletes believe that people CAN fly, you just need the right size pole to do it.
Biography:
Coach Townsend has been coaching the Pole vault in high school and collegiate programs since 2006. In high school, he trained under Rick Suhr, the same coach as the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist Jenn Suhr. He has an all-time best of of 14'7" and was All-New-York-State in high school. He competed Division 1 at the University at Buffalo for 2 years and then coached for the same school for 3 years. Through his club in Western New York, he coached 4 New York State Champions and 3 State Runner-ups from 2008 to 2013, including a boy over 15'9" and girls over 12'8" and 12'6" that both went on to full Division 1 scholarships. He has also sent 7 athletes to Division 1 programs in the Pole Vault in that time.
