Ripken LaMarsh finished 7th overall and led the Chesapeake Boys Cross Country team to victory in the 19 team Doc Jones Invitational at Annapolis on Saturday.
LaMarsh's 16:47 finish sets a new Chesapeake record for the Annapolis course. Close behind LaMarsh were Alex Love (9th), Sam Phipps (11th), Ted Tibert (16th), and DJ Drexel (22nd). Matt Fontaine and Mike Ferguson rounded out the top seven.
The Cougars finished 20 points ahead of the second place Severna Park team.
