2022 Try Out Information

For anyone who is interested in trying out for the 2022 Chesapeake Field Hockey team here is some information you will need to know.

Our try out dates are August 10^th -13^th  from 6am to 9am on Turf 2. Teams will be determined on the 13^th.

You will need to have physicals completed after June 1st and prior to the beginning of the season. You will be able to upload the paperwork to Family ID (https://hello.familyid.com/). Family ID will open on June 1st and close on August 8^th at 12pm (noon). It is important to remember that participation is not allowed without a physical. TRYOUT EXPECTATIONS

Each athlete must be registered on FamilyID and have their physical uploaded and approved in order to participate in tryouts and this season. 

We will be assessing of each of the following criteria athlete during tryouts.

    • Endurance, speed, agility, explosiveness  
  • Technical skills 
    • Stick skills, defensive skills, attacking skills, passing 
  • Game Sense 
    • Off ball movement, communication, field vision 
  • Mental skills 
    • Attitude, work ethic, coachability

    •  Team Unity, Respect, Representation
