The Cougars battled through the weather to go 1-1 at the annual Cougar Invitational. Sophomore Abby Dunn scored the lone goal in the 3-1 loss to Spalding in the first game of the day with junior goalkeeper Eve Vickery tallying 5 saves. The Cougars later defeated 1A State Champs Patuxent 5-1. Three different players scored for the Cougars--seniors Rachel Fleig (3 goals, 1 assist) and Hannah McKeon (1 goal) and sophmore Georgia Spangler (1 goal, 1 assist) while Eve Vickery made 2 saves in goal.
The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday, September 11th at home against Old Mill! Come support the field hockey team and GO COUGARS!!!
