Chesapeake broke open a 3-3 tie in the top of the 5th scoring 7 runs to secure a 10-3 victory. Haley Downin got the complete game victory for Chesapeake. Danielle Stewart led the offense going 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI. Kielee Warner had an RBI double. For Southern, L. Cox opened the 3rd with a double and scored on a RBI single by Vignola. They scored two other runs in the 3rd on a hit and several Chesapeake errors.
