| This game had a weird start and finish as a triple play by Chesapeake put an end to a CM Wright threat in the top of the 1st inning and the game ended on a double-play by C.M. Wright to stop a Chesapeake scoring threat. Very little happened in between as CM Wright's pitcher; Morghan Fulton held Chesapeake in-check and was the wining pitcher with a complete game 3 hitter with 2 strikeouts. Chesapeake's Haley Downin allowed one run as a result of the international tie-breaker runner scoring on a one-out double by Katie Murphy in the top of the 8th inning. Hunter Royston was 2 for 3 for Chesapeake and Brionna Bowman had the only other hit for Chesapeake. |
