| Chesapeake got a 2-run home run from Haley Downin to take a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning but South River's Raegan Mahoney tied it with a 2-run home run in the top of the 5th after Jennifer Labs hit a double. Chesapeake was able to produce 3 runs in the 5th inning on a 2-out double by Danielle Stewart to score Emily DeAngelis and Hunter Royston. Ashley Smeltz had an RBI single to give Chesapeake a 5-2 lead after 5. Haley Downin pitched a complete game to notch her 9th victory of the season. Chesapeake scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th on a one out RBI single by DeAngelis and a SAC fly by Royston as the final score was 7-2, Chesapeake. |
