COMMENTS North County scored 2 runs in the first inning on a walk, double by Holderfield, RBI groundout and a RBI single by Zornes. Chesapeake responded by scoring the next 3 runs on a home run by Danielle Stewart and 2 unearned runs on an error to take a 3-2 lead after 2 innings played. From then on A. Allender shutdown Chesapeake by holding them to 1 hit the rest of the game. North County scored an unearned run in the 4th on a single, error and SAC fly. The real damage was done in the top of the 5th when North County had four straight hits including a 3-run home run by Zornes to give North County a 7-3 lead. A. Allender pitched a complete game 5-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one earned run. D. Zornes was 3 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI.
