Chesapeake scored a run in the top of the first on a triple by Hunter Royston and a sac fly by Haley Downing. They scored 2 more runs after singles by Abby Muller and Summer Smith in the 4th as 2 runs scored on an error to give Chesapeake a 3-0 lead. Broadneck's Ally Thompson shutdown Chesapeake the rest of the game. Broadneck score one run in the 4th inning on an error and a RBI double by Herrera to cut into the lead. Broadneck would score another run in the 6th inning on a single by Givens and a RBI double by Ally Thompson. A leadoff double by Rudkin in the bottom of the 7th gave Broadneck an opportunity to tie and a one out walk and stolen base had the tie run on 3rd and the potential winning run on second with one out. Chesapeake's Haley Downin closed the door by striking out the final two batters to give Chesapeake a 3-2 victory.
