| Severna Parks Haley Simonds pitched a complete game 4-hit shutout while striking out 12 Chesapeake batters. She was also 2 for 4 and an RBI. Caroline Duffy was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Madison Gerarci was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Chesapeake had a couple of scoring opportunities but Simonds and the defense ended each opportunity. Haley Downin was 2 for 4 for Chesapeake and she pitched 6 innings with 4 strikeouts. Chesapeake mounted a comeback attempt in the bottom of the 7th getting the baes loaded with one out but was unable to dent the scoreboard. |
