| Southern went out to a 6-1 lead after the top of the second inning on strong hitting from Huck, Treff, Kissal, Brumley and Cox who all had doubles in those two innings. Chesapeake recovered to score 15 unanswered runs on the two home runs from senior Toni Braun and solo home runs from Brionna Bowman and Summer Smith. Haley Downing pitched the complete game victory and went 5 for 5 with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles and 3 RBI. Royston, Bowman and Braun also had 3 RBI each. |
