REGIONAL QUARTERFINALS - ARUNDEL: 1

Chesapeake defeated Arundel 11-1 behind the pitching of Senior Megan Hyson who threw a 2-hitter with 15 strikeouts. Chesapeake scored two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth inning as they came from behind to break open a close game with six runs in the fifth inning. Highlights in the fifth inning were RBI's by Sophomore Jackie Richards, Freshmen Danielle Myers, Sophomore Olivia Ravadge and Junior Kim Federowicz. Chesapeake closed out the game with RBI's by Senior Amy Jacobs and Junior Erin Van Dyke in the bottom of the sixth. Arundel scored its run in the top of the first on a single by Jill Funkhouser and a 1-out RBI triple by Maja Henson.
