Chesapeake scored 2 runs in the first inning to gain the early advantage and Megan Hyson held Northeast to 3 singles and 11 strikeouts in recording the shutout. The offense was lead by So. Olivia Ravadge who's 3-run home run in the sixth inning broke open a very close game. Jr. Kim Federowicz was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI; Sr. Megan Hyson was 2 for 4, scored 1 run and Sr. Gabby Couture had a single in the 1st to drive in Chesapeake's second run. Northeast's pitcher Brittany Magee kept Chesapeake off balance most of the game and Northeast played very good defensively. The three hits were by: Taylor Dittmar, Crystal Heffington, and right fielder Hughes.
